MiFID consulting
Itech is working with our banking and securities clients to develop understanding of the effect of regulatory change on business strategy, operational processes, and IT.
The implications the EU's 'Markets in Financial Instruments Directive', which comes into effect in April 2007, will be profound for ALL market participants; even those only trading with other 'professional' counterparties. There will be decisions to be made in terms of business trading strategy, and these will lead to disruptive change in operational processes and systems. Depending on the systems in use, there is likely to be the need for significant systems changes.
MiFID means disruptive change to business, operations, and systems in extremely tight timescales, much of which must be budgeted and started before it is clear exactly what changes, at anything but the highest level, will be required by the regulators.
Every financial institution in the EU should already be well down the road to implementing their MiFID regime. It is the nature of such projects that they involve specialist external resources. Itech provides these resources.
